Today, Cesar Chavez Day, the Date Farmers are officially announcing the start of an annual Coachella Walls event. Organized in honor of the labor leader and civil rights activist as well as the anonymous farm worker, the local artistic duo hope to bring attention to the poor community with this mural project. Faith47 just shared this beautiful piece in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. Titled You Hold No Blame For My Proud Heart, the piece is shows two swans facing each other forming a heard shaped image. Friday and Saturday night (March 28th & 29th), the LANDMARK in Los Angeles will be hosting the opening of Finding Vivian Maier. The documentary detailing the intriguing story of the discovery of the gifted photographer’s talent and work only after her death may be of interest to those who attended shows of her photos in 2013 & 2012 at the Merry Karnowsky Gallery. Releases: BNE x Banksy (Artists 4 Water)

After recently releasing limited edition t-shirts in collaboration with Space Invader, Faile and Shepard Fairey, BNE is continuing the Artists 4 Water effort with another major artist. On World Water Day, Saturday, March 22 at 12 Noon PST, there will apparently be a collaborative release from Banksy (although no official confirmation yet) on BNE.org. Thomas Canto recently created a futuristic installation inside of one of the rooms at the Vieux Panier Hotel in Marseilles. This small hotel is built in an old Corsican grocery shop, and it has five unique rooms, each designed in a different style by a contemporary artist for a period of one year. Recently, we received final photos & video footage of an independent project that took place in Wynwood, Miami, during Art Basel Week last year. Initiated by the artists 2501 and Pastel, the Mirrorless project involves three crucial subjects – artist, home and people, that are actually the key elements of works through their interaction with the elements of the installation.
