One of the most anticipated shows leading off 2013 will be James Jean’s (interviewed) move to New York City for his newest solo show at Tilton Gallery. Entitled Parallel Lives, the exhibition will be his second large body of work put on display in the Big Apple since 2009 (covered). The show runs from January 9th to February 16th. Last month, we shared with you the collaboration between James Jean (featured) and the BLITZ Lane Crawford Hong Kong. Not only was he launching his OVM line of jewellery and accessories there, there were also a special collection of scarves, pouches and iphone veils has been designed by the gifted painter exclusively for the store (buy them here). Recently, the James Cohan Gallery hosted Trenton Doyle Hancock‘s show, appropriately titled …And Then It All Came Back To Me. This is an incredible body of work, and as timing sometimes goes, brought out the ‘best of the best’ in the post Sandy NYC Chelsea arts district. Astute fans may have noticed that Todd James’ new exhibition opening this week in New York is being sponsored in part by VistaJet & Bombardier Aerospace, the same people behind a series of shows by RETNA in the past (covered here & here).
