Leading things off on this edition of our Streets: World Roundup is this new mural from Vhils (via Hookedblog) for the Phytology Project. The wall is situated on a side street just off Bethnal Green Road (the station end) in the Bethnal Green Nature Reserve and is part of a series of year-long artist commissions taking place in the reserve. Shortly after finishing new series of hand painted mono silkscreens (covered), the NYC-based How & Nosm flew to Portugal to take part in the ongoing Underdogs Project. As announced earlier this year, Raoul and Davide Perre are on a list of participants which also includes Interesni Kazki (covered), Cyrcle (covered), Maismenos, Alex Fakso, Martha Cooper, Vhils & Pixel Pancho. Projects: Library Street Collective Indoor Murals @ The Z (Detroit)

The Detroit-based gallery, Library Street Collective, recently started a big project in downtown Detroit. In collaboration with Detroit entrepreneur/real estate mogul Dan Gilbert, they are commissioning 23 artists from all over the world to paint murals in a newly constructed mixed-use development (referred to as “The Z”). Known as The Garage Project or The Z, this project is now about 30% done.
