Last week, Unit London hosted the opening of a group show curated by the founder of Paintguide, Henrik Uldalen. Along with his work, other artists who were invited in the past to take over the art sharing Instagram account also contributed to the exhibition. On November 27th, a group exhibition organized by Henrik Uldalen, the founder of Paintguide on Instagram, will open at Unit London. One can say the Norwegian oil painter’s success has come in part because of social media, something that more and more collectors are using to find and purchase artwork. After an interval of seven years, Barry McGee is back at Ratio 3 in San Francisco and this time he brought along 50 of his friends to join him. This particular show had a few surprises and whole lot of what we love about the Bay Area legend such as painted signs, geometric paintings, customized surfboards, painted bottles, sketches, and photography. Half a year since his last show with Todd James at V1 gallery in Copenhagen (covered), Barry McGee will opening a China Boo at Ratio 3 in San Francisco. The last time he showed with the gallery was back in 2008 with a exhibition entitled A Moment for Reflection: New Work by Lydia Fong.
