As per usual with the elusive British art superstar, a new piece by Banksy was discovered out of nowhere at Bridge Farm Primary School in Bristol this morning. The work was done as a thank you gift to the children that named one of the houses after him. One month since his series of works were revealed in Jungle refugee camp in Calais, Banksy just created a new piece in London. Discovered earlier today on the French embassy, the stenciled image features a girl from Les Misérables, tearing up as CS gas flows over her. This wall, which includes a French flag and the iconic girl from the famous musical, comments on the events from the 5th and 6th of January when French authorities used tear gas, rubber bullets and concussion grenades while attempting to clean up a section of the camp. Today on the interwebs, Banksy shared his latest series of works created at the migrant encampment in Calais, France. The timely stenciled pieces that appeared in the so called “jungle” refugee camp features commentary on the crisis like the one seen above reminding us that Steve Job’s biological father was a Syrian migrant. After the exclusive press preview held on the 20th of August (covered), the 21st was day zero for Banksy’s newest and biggest show to date. Banksy phenomenon once again showed it’s strength, influence and unpredictable nature when his largest project to date, Dismaland, opened doors for the press preview earlier today.
