Made has a new video (via Beautiful/Decay) where they interview American artist Kevin Earl Taylor, who was in Berlin a few months ago for his exhibition Deviant Instinct at Circleculture Gallery. Art Focus: Amanda Nedham

For this week’s Art Focus, we present to you the graphite skills of Amanda Nedham. A good representation of her work is a new collection of pieces she has produced for her Half of Less Than Ten showing that opened last week at the LE Gallery in Toronto. These new intricate drawings are inspired by Napoleon’s love letters to his wife Josephine and demonstrate her attention to details as well as her morbid take human impulses and their relationship to animals. Streets: David Shrigley – “How Are You Feeling?” (New York)

David Shrigley, who is currently putting on a retrospective at the Hayward Gallery in the UK, has also found time to design a new billboard next to the The High Line in New York. The piece which will remain in place through May 7th features self-reflective speech bubbles and is entitled How Are You Feeling? If you remember, John Baldessari also hit up the spot, sits alongside the elevated park at 18th Street and Tenth Avenue, back in December with his $100,000 bill. A closer look […]

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from the Brooklyn-based Beau Stanton (featured). Well, he’s about to unveil a new show tonight at New York’s Bold Hype Gallery. Entitled Archaic Ornaments, this fresh body of work is somewhat of an extension and evolution from his last show in San Francisco. Streets: Meggs (Hong Kong)

While in Hong Kong for his Journey is the Reward showing (covered) at the Above Second Gallery, Aussie street artist Meggs also took time to leave his mark on the walls around the city. In the photo above, you can see his collaboration with locals Xeme & Sinic on a phoenix inspired mural. Other notables from HK include the shutters of the gallery as well as a re-occuring ghost image that plays on the slang for non-Asian foreigners in town. More photos after the jump…

The Northern Cali-based ABOVE (interviewed) continued his many travels with a recent trip to South Africa. On arrival, the street muralist turned his attention to an issue that he felt strongly about – blood diamonds – and went about figuring what the best way to get his message across was. Streets: Phlegm (Isle of Man)

Street muralist Phlegm recently came across an abandoned pool on the Isle of Man and immediately knew what to do. Befitting the location next to the sea and true to his longstanding love affair with marine imagery, the Sheffield-based artist painted a large sea creature with one of his signature characters in tow.
