The idea of this ongoing project is to bring life and fresh energy to the streets and the daily life of the city. The Swedish city of Boras recently hosted a street art event between the 4th and 7th of September. Inviting some recognizable names from the street art world, the organizers of the No Limit Boras Festival were aiming to turn the city’s public space into an outdoor exhibition. Following the worldwide trend of inviting street artists to beautify dull urban facades, this event in a way opposes the strict “zero tolerance” policy that’s in effect all around the country. After roughly three weeks of intense work, Os Gemeos recently finished their new mural for the Vancouver Biennale (Part I, Part II). The six large silos they painted on Granville Island continues their ongoing series of large murals titled Giants, and is now officially their biggest one to date. Covering the entire 70-foot (21 metre) tall structure, this incredible piece of work is their contribution to Biennale’s strong connection with sculpture. Streets: Shepard Fairey (New York)

Last week, Shepard Fairey (featured) visited New York City to show a little love for his fans in the Big Apple. Mr. Obey and his posse worked on a massive six story mural on Bowery just off of Broome as he took advantage of the Manhattan skyline with the help of the L.I.S.A. project. Entitled We Own The Future, this fresh creation took over three days to finish and we stopped by to document the process from beginning to end. Discuss Shepard Fairey here.
