Earlier today in Italy, illustrator, artist, and designer, Parra opened his solo show Il Senso di Colpa (The Guilt) at Galleria Patricia Armocida. In accordance with the title of his show, the artist focused this body of work on the feeling of guilt and similar emotions that are often limiting and troubling for many of us. Openings: Parra – “Kind Regrets” @ HVW8

Over the weekend, Dutch artist Piet Janssen aka Parra brought his bizarre and voluptuous imagery to Los Angeles for all enjoy with a showing at the HVW8 Gallery. Entitled Kind Regrets, the exhibition included paintings, drawings, sculptural items as well as murals on the exterior of the West Hollywood showspace. To the delight of all who attended, Parra was happy to interact with, sketch, and talk to his well wishers, collectors, and fans. Upcoming: Parra – “Kind Regrets” @ HVW8 Gallery

On September 29th, Dutch artist Piet Janssen (better known as Parra) will be opening a new show at the HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles entitled Kind Regrets. On display will be new works featuring his distinctive saturated colors and characters – namely men with beaked heads and voluptuous women. Releases: Parra x Kidrobot – “Pierced” Figure

On June 7th, Kidrobot will be releasing (in-store and online) a new figure from Dutch artist Parra entitled Pierced. The 10-inch vinyl sculpture is inspired by the melodramatic cover art of romance novels and based on imagery from his original silkscreen artwork. The entwined figures which demonstrate the simultaneous pain and pleasure that many experience while in love will set collectors back $150 and will be limited to an edition of 300. Via mashKULTURE.
