Pejac recently announced his first ever sculptural edition based on a piece that was exhibited earlier this year at his A Forest show in Venice (covered). For this release, the Spanish artist created a complex production process that involved different techniques and mediums, challenging both himself personally and the idea of an editioned art piece. Coming up on September 30th (coinciding nicely with the Venice Biennale), Pejac will be opening a two day only show entitled A Forest at the Squero di San Troves in Venice, Italy. Pejac will be releasing a new limited edition on Friday 14th at 6PM CEST (12PM EDT) via his official website. Scattercrow is a lithograph featuring one of his earlier images (first painted back in 2010). For this release, the Barcelona-based artist picked the old-fashioned process of lithograph stone printing in order to achieve an as direct and as unchanged of a image reproduction. After a series of interventions in London back in June (covered), Pejac just revealed his latest public works produced during his residency with the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, Croatia. The Barcelona-based artist recently spent two weeks in the city on the Adriatic coast where he created three new and peculiar works. On Thursday, July 21st, Pejac revealed his long awaited London solo show for a private viewing. Installed as a popup at the Londonewcastle Project Space on Redchurch Street, Law of the Weakest included around 30 pieces created in the last couple of months exclusively for this event. The visitors entered the main part of the show through a dark room in which a large ball pit was placed. Law of the Weakest, the first major solo exhibition by Spanish artist Pejac, opens this Friday, 22 July in London.
