Streets: Phlegm – “Waterways”

With the weather turning nicer, the Sheffiled-based Phlegm was able to get out and about painting a set of murals entitled Waterways. The whimsical pieces feature his signature characters and his continued exploration of the nautical theme, which was appropriate considering his placement. Looks like he also may have gotten a little wet based on the difficult locations he had to work in. Discuss Phlegm here.

Streets: London Instagram Roundup

It’s been a long while since the last Instagram Roundup from the streets of East London here on AM, so we thought it was about time we gathered some photos of what’s been happening over the last five months.  A favourite is definitely this great wall from Sweet Toof and Paul Insect, some wonderful painting by Conor Harrington, another visit from Sheffield artist Phlegm and new stabby women paste ups by Kid Acne and plenty more. There really is too much to talk about here, […]

Streets: Phlegm (Isle of Man)

Street muralist Phlegm recently came across an abandoned pool on the Isle of Man and immediately knew what to do. Befitting the location next to the sea and true to his longstanding love affair with marine imagery, the Sheffield-based artist painted a large sea creature with one of his signature characters in tow. Adding an added layer of complexity was the background filled with years of graf work. More photos after the jump…

This wall, which was painted to look as if it was never there is one of many that the young artists in the area have painted over (story via Hyperallergic). Other street work that caught out eyes this week include Vhils (Luxembourg), […]

Releases: Phlegm – “Civilisation” Print

For those of you intrigued by the intricate drawing from Phlegm that we mentioned earlier this month, here are the details on a print release based on that image. It sounds like the two color screenprint took alot of in-studio time for the Sheffield-based artist to complete, so he will be making it up with time outdoors painting for the foreseeable future. This means this might be your last chance for a while to own something from him so head over here on Monday, February […]

Streets: World Roundup (Feb 6 – Feb 12)

This week’s featured wall for our street art roundup from around the world is a sweet collaborative piece between Austrian artist Nychos and the German-based old school legend Flying Fortress.
