Phlegm – “Civilisation” Print

UK-based street muralist Phlegm has really outdone himself this time. Using his intricate drawing skills, he has created a three part piece that when combined features an entire world on the shoulders of one his characters. The image you see above is only a third of the completed image.  Good news for his fans is that this will be released as a print entitled Civilisation soon. See the entire image after the jump…

It’s the end of the week and again time for a summary of walls in our roundup. The beautiful piece you see above is from Aryz in Lisbon that was sponsored by the Montana Shop & Gallery. Streets: Phlegm (Switzerland)

While it looks like street muralist Phlegm has had time to work on some drawings for his new book in his home city of Sheffield, he still has found time to leave the UK to work on some walls. This latest piece, put together by Wall Arts Basel, is in Basel, Switzerland and features some of his signature characters involved in some kind of struggle. More detailed pics after the jump…

Streets: Phlegm (Sheffield)

Now that Phlegm is back to his home city of Sheffield earlier than expected he has some time to work on some local walls like this new one he calls “the passage”. Also, he has used some of his extra moments to work on his new book (see the last release, the soldout Illuminated Alphabet) with several incredibly detailed new drawings. See these as well as a detailed look at the mural after the jump…

Nuart Festival ’11: Phlegm

Another great curatorial choice for Nuart Festival is rising star Phlegm, who traveled from his home base of Sheffield for this year’s event. For his part, he painted a nice mural on the side of a derelict building featuring his signature affection for all things airborne and also filled an entire room with his creatures and characters in a strange, almost evolutionary, lineup. More photos after the jump thanks to Henrik Haven…

Streets: London Instagram Roundup

Some great street art surprises have popped up around Shoreditch since the last AM London Instagram Roundup. First up, this brilliant, huge piece by the prolific Sweet Toof and CEPT at Village Underground was exceptionally nice to see. LUDO (featured) has also been getting up with his paste-ups whilst in London for his solo show Metamorphosis at High Roller Society (covered). In addition, Australian artist Ghostpatrol has been busy collaborating with Kid Acne, Ema and Dscreet on an amazing wall in Dalston; and he has also been working with Malarky (a […]

Streets: Phlegm (Croatia) Part II

Rounding out his time in Croatia, where a super-sized seeing device was already gifted to the Central European country, two more murals were completed by Phlegm before heading back to the UK. In trademark black and white, we see the Sheffield-based street artist furthered his fantastical storyline with his eerie, yet endearing cast of characters. Another brilliant flying machine, akin to one painted in London last week, is the stand out, highlighting his skills in going large while not ignoring the intricacies in the minor […]
