As part of the Lazarides Gallery 10th Anniversary celebrations, Lazarides Editions studio just released Katrin Fridriks‘ latest print Noble Awakening. The second collaboration between the acclaimed Icelandic artist and her London-based gallery is sort of a follow up to her solo show Macrocosm (covered). Releases: James Jean – “Chang’e” Print

In celebration of another Chinese holiday (also see CNY), James Jean (interviewed) will be releasing a new print for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Entitled Chang’e, the edition will be time limited for 24 hours from 8:00 AM PDT on Thursday, September 15th and ending at 7:59 AM PDT on Friday, September 16th. Releases: Jim Houser – “Sidewalk Hymn” Print

Sidewalk Hymn is a new print released by Jim Houser through 1xRUN. The standard edition comes in a run of 40 and costs $65 whereas the hand-embellished edition comes in a run of 15 and costs $150. Measuring 24 x 18 inches, the prints are signed and numbered, have a COA included, and having framing as an option. Releases: Rod Luff – “Afterglow” Print

The People’s Print Shop recently released a new limited edition from Rod Luff entitled Afterglow. Available in a signed and numbered run of 30, the image from the Sydney-based artist is taken from his piece from the recent Moleskin V group show which he co-curated. A few months after completing a mural with this same image in Bodo, Norway, Rustam Qbic recently announced a new hand finished print release through Unframed Editions. After School screen prints will be released on Tuesday, August 23rd at 6pm London time (1pm New-York) in two editions. Releases: James Jean – “Zugzwang” Catalog

On August 9th (8 am PST), James Jean (interviewed) will be releasing a catalog of his show last year in Japan at Hidari Zingaro Gallery (covered). Curated by Takashi Murakami, the work for the exhibition in Tokyo was entitled Zugzwang, which now will be documented fully in this 80 page publication. Coming up on August 8th, Josh Keyes (interviewed) will be releasing a new Artist Collectable archival print on wood entitled Guardian. Lazarides just announced the release of a new print from Ian Francis (featured) entitled Revolving Cage. The image is taken from a painting he submitted earlier this year for the gallery’s 10 year anniversary show (covered) and features the British artist’s melding of photorealistic and abstract imagery. Available in a run of 100 and sized at 50 cm x 70 cm, the signed and numbered edition costs £175.00 and can be purchased here. Discuss Ian Francis here.

Releases: Kevin Cyr – “4 Queens” Print

Kevin Cyr recently released a print through Dynamo Editions entitled 4 Queens in a low edition of 25 featuring some of his signature distressed and graffiti covered vehicles. Interestingly enough as you can see from the photos below, the van started blank before the Brooklyn-based artist starts his hand embellishing process. Currently showing at Gallery 1988 West is 20 Years Later, a group exhibition featuring artwork inspired by films from 1996. Cult films are certainly a subject that the Los Angeles showplace has delved into before (including last year’s 30 Years Later show).
