Releases: Mark Ryden – “Princess Praline and Her Entourage” Print

With his upcoming New York show featuring artwork from the ballet (covered) he worked on with the American Ballet Theater opening on May 20th, Mark Ryden (interviewed) will also be releasing an associated print on May 19th. Princess Praline and Her Entourage looks to be an image taking from some of Ryden’s concept art from his set and costume design work. Pixel Pancho will be releasing his new, self produced print Hold You Up Forever on the 26th of April via his online shop. Somewhat more simple than his usual work, the image was originally created as a sketch for Valentine’s Day. Last week, Jeff Koons revealed his latest high profile project – a collection he designed with Louis Vuitton. Entitled Masters, the collaboration features 51 different pieces including handbags, scarves, key chains and small leather goods, including wallets and laptop sleeves. The concept behind it all was inspired by the American artist’s Gazing Ball series of paintings from 2015 which featured reproductions of various masterpieces adorned with blue reflective spheres. After the his recent self-sponsored billboard went up near his studio in the Little Osaka area in Los Angeles, James Jean (interviewed) has announced a print release of the image. Udon II will be a time-limited edition starting 8:00 AM PDT on Monday, April 10 and ending at 7:59 AM PDT on Tuesday, April 11. Starting tomorrow (April 6th) at 10 am PST, Aron Wiesenfeld will be releasing a new print entitled Eva. The time-limited edition will be available for 7 days from that point forward for $135. The print has an image size of 20 x 24 inches & a paper size of 23 x 26 inches and features some of the the haunting and atmospheric imagery that the San Deigo-based artist is known for. The eighth edition of the Essential 1800 Artist Series features the artwork of Enoc Perez. This annual series was started by 1800 Tequila as a way to showcase art in a non-traditional medium and has featured the artwork of such luminaries as Basquiat and Haring. First introduced in China during the Back To School mural project in September 2016, than recreated at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Lyon, for his Wall Drawings exhibition, Seth will be releasing his In My Head image as a limited edition lithograph. Available from March 30th via agencesixpm.com this will be an inaugural edition for the new Paris-based art agency. Although we’ve barely warmed up to KAWS’ latest product (covered), he surprises us with even more news via Instagram. “I’m happy to finally be able to announce a new project releasing this April with Uniqlo…” Like his previous Uniqlo project, there will be KAWS x Peanuts apparel as well as some plush toys apparently this go around (see below). Releases: Josh Keyes – “I’ll Melt With You” Print

Josh Keyes (interviewed) just released an open edition entitled I’ll Melt With You. The image is taken from a 2016 acrylic painting and displays his concern with humankind’s effect on our environment and future. The edition will be open/unsigned and the image dimensions are 12 x16 inches (30.48 x 40.64 cm). Total print dimensions, including border: 16 x 20 inches (40.64 x 50.8 cm).
