On March 3rd, Hashimoto Contemporary in San Francisco will be opening a two person show entitled ANEW from Erin M. Riley (interviewed) and Lucien Shapiro. Although the pairing seems odd at first – when you delve a little deeper, you will see that both artists create personally meaningful work though unconventional methods. On February 19th, Chandran Gallery in San Francisco will be presenting Witch-Wife, a two person show from Swoon (interviewed) and long time collaborator Monica Canilao. It’s always a treat to attend Jeremy Fish (featured) openings. This particular opening was truly special as well. When we arrived at City Hall, an hour before the opening, there was already a long line of the locally-based artist’s devotees. As we walked past the line, we noticed Fish tattoos, t-shirt, hoodies, hats and one guy even had limited edition Fish leather shoes!
