On November 29th, art dealers Larry Gagosian and Jeffrey Deitch opened their second collaborative group exhibition for Basel Week Miami. Following up on their collaboration on a exhibition (covered) for Basel Week Miami last year, art dealers Larry Gagosian and Jeffrey Deitch will be teaming up a new group exhibition entitled DESIRE at the Moore Building (191 NE 40th Street). Curated by Diana Widmaier-Picasso, the show will “explore modern and contemporary approaches to eroticism in art” and feature a impressive roster of artists. Basel Week Miami ’16 / Upcoming: Jose Parla – “Roots” @ YoungArts Jewel Box

Another must-see show to add to your Basel Week Miami itinerary is Jose Parla’s site specific installation at the YoungArts Jewel Box (2100 Biscayne Boulevard). Entitled Roots, the commissioned paintings and sculpture are part of the Rolls-Royce art program and will see the Brooklyn-based Cuban-American artist’s return to the locale of his formative years in the 1980s and early 90s. Previews: Mr Jago & Eric Haacht – “Working With Explosives” @ Fluorescent Smogg

Fluorescent Smogg at a location in Bristol will shortly be opening a new two-man show with Mr Jago (seen above) and Eric Haacht (seen directly below) entitled Working With Explosives. The exhibition runs from 1st to 4th December and each artist will be showing eight new paintings. For this year’s Basel Week Miami, Tim Biskup (featured) will be working on a project called The Dog. (1306 North Miami Ave). The bar, dancehall, and art gallery rolled into one will feature site-specific work from the Southern California-basd artist outside and inside the space with artwork and editions available for those interested. Continuing his Whole Glory project, Scott Campbell will be bringing the concept to Basel Week Miami at the Juxtapoz Clubhouse (2400 NW 5th Street).
