PangeaSeed Foundation recently took off on another large expedition – accompanied by 29 international and local artists as they launched the newest edition of their Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans street art festival in Napier, New Zealand. This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to raise awareness, stimulate dialogue, change perception, and inspire positive change around pressing ocean environmental issues through the power art, science, and creativity. Leading things off is an impressive new anamorphic mural from eL Seed that covers almost 50 buildings in the neighborhood of Manshiyat Nasr in Cairo, Egypt. Not long after the duo’s US debut show (covered), Interesni Kazki’s Waone flew to Varkala, India, where he painted his first black and white mural. The Ukrainian artist, known for his surreal public works, colorful paintings, and elaborate drawings, was able to fulfill his goal of creating a B&W mural, resulting in this striking wall being painted on a local rooftop with the help of his family and friends. Eleven years since his last Australian solo show, Barry McGee returns “down under” for a one night event. In conjunction with RVCA, this Thursday night, the 17th of March, Sydney’s Monster Children magazine will be opening (and closing) his exclusive solo show at their exhibition space MC06 in Camperdown. Releases: KAWS – “Man’s Best Friend” Print Set

Pace Prints just announced their newest print release with KAWS. Man’s Best Friend is a monumental set of 10 black and white screenprints, similar to the installation shown at his 2014 show at Honor Fraser Gallery (covered). Based on Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts, the prints are KAWS’ take on the popular cartoon. By combining macro views of lines that comprise of the forms of Snoopy, Woodstock and friends, along with his signature XX, the Brooklyn-based artist created appealing abstract images.
