Tim Biskup’s “The Mystic Chords of Memory†at Iguapop Gallery opened recently in Barcelona. Based on the opening photos as well as the preview we posted earlier, it looks like for this body of work, Biskup is mixing his newer pixelated style with some imagery from the past with a dash of new vibrant colors. Take a look at some pics from the show after the jump…

Tim Biskup opens his latest solo show “The Mystic Chords of Memory” on June 4th at Iguapop Gallery in Barcelona. The show title, taken from a statement made by Abraham Lincoln during his first inaugural address, represents the newfound focus of Biskup’s energies on the positive and have led to the reemergence of a more vibrant pallete and picturesque imagery in his work which is a strong contrast to the muted colors and expressionless figures from Biskup’s “O/S (Operating System)” show last year. See the rest […]
Tim Biskup has been teasing his collectors with new images of his 7″ Bronze Pollard on his blog. We like the new faceted look which mirrors the evolution of style in his paintings. The figure will be produced with an edition of 44 and will be stamped and initialed on the feet. With his previous bronze release, the 2″ Iki, costing about $300, fans had better start saving now for the June release. More images after the jump.

Tim Biskup recently posted on his blog about a print that Dance Right is releasing that is a variation on his “Tree of Life” print. It’s a collaboration because MFG took the original image (seen below) and altered it (seen above). Pretty affordable as prints go for $35. Details after the jump.
Last Saturday, Tim Biskup’s show “O/S (Operating System)†opened at Addict Galerie in Paris (previously posted). Although no stranger to international travel, he appeared to be excited to be exhibiting in France when we talked to him at Baby Tattooville. The works turned out pretty amazing… continuing his “pixelated” style and pairing each painting with a custom pedestal. Priced at $6500-$15,500, we believe some of these are still available for purchase. Check out all the photos after the jump.
After coming back from Jeff Soto’s studio after dinner. The attendees and the artists came back to the resort and got a very special treat. An authentic “life drawing” session was awaiting… not only for the participants, but also for the artists to experience. This session took us back to an art school 101 tradition… study of the “natural” human form. Yes, a fully nude female to model and hold seductive poses for 20 mins at a time. As part of the real art experience, everyone was encourage to pick up sketch […]
