Previews: Ludo – “I’ve Been Missing You” @ Magda Danysz (Paris)

On June 17th, Ludo (interviewed) will be opening a new show at the Paris location of Magda Danysz. The prolific street artists is often on the road so this exhibition entitled I’ve Been Missing You reflects his feelings for his hometown. Along with pieces featuring his distinctive “Nature’s Revenge” theme as well as signature green tint, this show will also feature an an installation made up of an army of fireflies whose phosphorescent light dazzles and envelops while questioning the relationship between men and technology. Basel Week Miami ’16: Juxtapoz Clubhouse

One of the venues jam-packed with goodness during Basel Week Miami was the Juxtapoz Clubhouse, a special project in conjunction between the magazine and Mana Urban Arts Project. The immersive artist retreat and exhibition space in the Wynwood District features collaborations with different artists, galleries and creatives. Releases: Ludo “Victory” lithography

Coinciding with having his work as a part of  Jonathan LeVine Gallery’s A Conversation Between Friends (covered) at the Juxtapoz Clubhouse during Basel Week Miami, Ludo (interviewed) just announced his upcoming print release. Scheduled for Wednesday, November 30th, at 6pm (Parisian time, GMT+1) via his website EnjoyTheViolence.com, Victory is actually one of his works featured in the show. The image depicts the infamous Winged Victory of Samothrac or Nike of Samothrace upgraded with a recognizable twist by the French artist. After a series of public interventions the last few years in China, Ludo returned once again to Far East to work on more pieces for his Ephemera project. We just received some interesting news from Ludo (interviewed) about the launch of his online store and a new edition release. On April 20th at 6pm Paris Time (CET), he will be releasing his new hand finished screen print Palynology or Police Bee through EnjoyTheViolence.com. Recap: Ludo x Rero Installation (Bogota)

French artists and studio mates, Ludo and Rero, were recently visiting Colombia during the ArtBo Artfair week in Bogota. They were invited to create a collaborative installation at a 500 year old historical site where they incorporated their work into a colonial patio.
