Streets: D*Face Buenos Aires Travelogue (Part 1)

You may remember his recent travelogue here on AM from Ecuador (here and here), and it looks like our boy D*Face (interviewed) has been on his travels again, this time hitting some spots in Buenos Aires with a variety of street pieces. D recorded some of the highs and lows of the trip to Argentina for us again in a travelogue series. Read on for part one, which we’ll subtitle ‘D gets his stink on‘ after the jump.

Currently showing at New York’s Fredericks and Freiser, Matthew Palladino’s latest exhibition simply entitled New Work is about to come to the end of its run on June 11th. Phlegm’s work in and around Sheffield has always given us a buzz here at AM, so when recently driving past Sheffield, we stopped by to take a look at the Art Fag that Kid Acne recently painted as we heard that Phlegm had made an addition to the mural, painting some of his distinctive buildings to form a smouldering end to the giant ciggie. This month sees Toronto based artist Jacub Gagnon bring his surrealist still life paintings to Los Angeles for his solo exhibition entitled Elements & Oddities. The exhibition opens at Thinkspace on Saturday April 30th, and also features Yosuke Ueno. Lowbrow pop master David MacDowell (interviewed) returns the Culver City showspace also in the project room space with Lowbrow Love Letter. Coming to Bristol this week is Modern Fabulists – a group exhibition curated by our friends Chippy Coates and Richard Scarry, aka Coates & Scarry. Matthew Feyld seems to be a regular on flights between Canada and Sweden of late. After two solo exhibitions and a residency at Krets in Malmö, and a solo and residency at Neon in Brösarp last year, Feyld is taking on the curation of the forthcoming group exhibition at Krets – Family Shirt.
