Openings: Mike Giant @ Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea – Milan

Following his successful show last year at France’s Magda Danysz (covered), Mike Giant returned to the EU to open his “Welcome to Frisco” show last Thursday night at Milan’s Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea.  Featuring his trademark clean lines and tattooed subjects, Giant’s showing looks to be a great introduction to the San Francisco aesthetic and culture for the Milanese people. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the death of Keith Haring, the Tony Shafrazi Gallery recently opened a gallery-wide tribute to the graffiti legend and 80s New York art superstar. Openings: Shaquille O’Neal – “Size Does Matter” @ Flag Art Foundation

Shaquille O’Neal’s curatorial debut opened at Flag Art Foundation this past Friday to a mass of curious art fans. A line filled the lobby just for the elevator up to the duplex gallery space on the 9th and 10th floor.
