Teaser: Mark Brown – “The Lost MacGuffin” @ Gallery 1988 LA

Here is a little teaser image for Mark Brown’s show coming up at the end of this month.  As a promising emerging artist, we are pleased to see him get his first solo show, entitled “The Lost MacGuffin,” opening April 28th at Gallery 1988 (LA).  Expect the usual cast of characters thrown together in complex and frenetic combinations with a touch of symbolism. Openings: Brandi Milne – “Run Rabbit, Run” @ Thinkspace Gallery

Brandi Milne’s “Run Rabbit, Run” (previewed) opened this past Friday, April 10th at Thinkspace Gallery. There was a very unique, fun-filled vibe to this show. Those who attended the exhibition opening were treated to a wonderful new series of work and the chance to participate in Brandi’s “Easter Egg Hunt”. Shepard Fairey “Supply & Demand” Museum Retrospective to Travel

It seems that Shepard’s recent drama with the AP and Boston’s finest doesn’t phase the higher-ups in the Contemporary Art world. AM has learned that Shepard Fairey’s debut solo museum exhibition “Supply and Demand,” which opened (covered) at the Boston ICA in February, will be traveling to at least two other museums. Walrus TV Video: Jose “Ease” Parla

Walrus TV is continuing to release their excellent series of interviews.  This time, they have for us an older video with José Parlá from probably ’06 ahead of his upcoming show in Hong Kong (more coverage to follow).
