AM stopped by to visit Jonathan Levine, who was on hand to showcase Shepard Fairey’s work at Scope. Shepard created some gigantic murals to go along with the exclusive stencil works on paper and record albums. Shepard Fairey announced that in celebration of Obama’s presidential victory, a special limited print will be released through MoveON.org tomorrow. Last night, Shepard Fairey premiered his newest image for Barack Obama entitled “VOTE”. How fitting that he unveiled this new image in the nation’s capital. Last night, AM got invited to follow artist Shepard Fairey around Washington DC and watch him create a few murals at some prominent DC locations.
