Streets: REVOK, RIME, ROIDS, POSE, and OMENS (Chicago)

As you know, REVOK, RIME, and ROID recently opened a fantastic new show Perseverance at the Known Gallery in Los Angeles (covered). The three writers were actually in Detroit prior to the show working on the paintings and incubating ideas. Apparently, they also found time to make a pit stop in Chicago to paint this wall before heading to California. POSE (who collaborated on a couple pieces with Revok for the show) and OMENS also worked on this mural with the trio together. Closer looks […]

Produced by Purple Fashion Magazine, the tattoo icon turned contemporary art mainstay pays homage to Looney Tunes with canon fuse and pipe bomb, perhaps working out the kinks for his next solo […]

Streets: “Transforming Beauty” by David Ellis, Maya Hayuk, Yuri Shimojo & SASU @ Sephora

In most parts of the modern world, before a new building or store opens up, a construction phase begins where a monotone barricade (Often tagged “post no bills”) is erected to shield passerby’s from the messiness. Cosmetic retailer Sephora took the initiative to commission a special outdoor installation to occupy their exterior barricade. With the help of David Ellis, Maya Hayuk, Yuri Shimojo and SASU, Sephora created a live motion mural […]

Videos / Openings: Unsanctioned Banksy Show @ Keszler Gallery

Many of you may have already seen this video yesterday when we posted it to our facebook fanpage, but here it is again with somewhat of a followup. The footage above, that angered many street art fans, was put together by the Keszler Gallery in association with the Bankrobber Gallery where unnamed individuals traveled to Palestine and boldly removed some of the well known and much beloved work Banksy created for the Santa’s Ghetto event held in the West Bank in 2007. It turns out several […]
