Four years after his last solo show in Paris (covered), graffiti artist Bom.K is returning to Paris for a solo show entitled Effects Secondaires (Side Effects) at Galerie Itinerrance opening on April 21st. The title of the exhibition refers to the sensations we managed to grasp from an artwork after enjoying the technique and subject. In addition, it also refers to one of the works in wood bearing the same name on the subject of overconsumption and the exhaustion of natural resources. After successfully releasing his Aérotik Pink Malpa and Aérotik Black Malpa resin sculptures back in February (featured), Bom.K has another sculptural edition to offer. Fight For Love consists of a modified brass knuckle and its base, both casted in zamak and bronze with a hand finished process that gives them a raw, wornout feel. Bom.K was recently invited to Djerba in Tunisia, to take part in the big Djerbahood Project organized by Galerie Itinerrance in Paris. The French graffiti artist, one of the key members of Da Mental Vaporz crew, who’s been showing his works recently in galleries throughout Europe and USA, created couple of different street works for this open space museum. Members of the French street-art collective Da Mental Vaporz are currently in Berlin, working hard on their upcoming collaborative exhibition, The Wall, opening on the 26th of May at BC gallery. The show will include a display of works in the two spaces of the gallery, as well as two large public murals that can be seen in the surrounding area. French graffiti artist Bom.K will be having his first solo show stateside called Confusions at Known Gallery in Los Angeles. Having exhibited with the DMV crew in Spain, Denmark, Australia, UK and following the success of his last solo show in France (covered here), Bom.k is taking the US by storm. Mastering the spray can with an incredible dexterity and intricate details, he depicts a gritty universe with his monstrous yet captivating creatures. Confusions opens on the 11th of January.
