After returning from an inspiring trip to Jordan (covered), Pejac spent the last couple days finalizing his upcoming print release, Wound. Showing an ice breaker leaving a bloody scar as it roams the frozen ocean, it’s one of the works by the Spanish artist that speaks to major environmental issues. After recently creating new works in the Al-Hussein Palestinian refugee camp in Amman, Jordan (covered), Pejac continued travelling around Arab kingdom while creating more refugee focused works. Reviewed here are the pieces the Spanish artist painted in Azraq Camp and on the streets of Amman. We’ve seen Pejac paint large indoor murals, small street pieces, window drawings, install sculptural works in public, create visual illusions on facades and walls, but we never seen him turn his paintings into reality. After his recent Asian tour that included Hong Kong (covered), Seoul (covered) and Tokyo (covered), Pejac returned to his studio in Barcelona to work on his next limited edition release. The image he chose for this release is a black and white version of his large canvas, Meadow, that he painted earlier this week. After stopping in Hong Kong (covered) and Seoul (covered), Pejac finished his Asian tour with the most anticipated part of his trip – Tokyo. In his previous works, the Spanish artist has often used elements from Japanese culture, so it was very interesting to see how the land of the cherry blossom, samurais, etc will inspire him. After recently visiting Hong Kong (covered), Pejac recently stopped in Seoul while continuing his Asian tour. Seeing as this was his first time in the country, the Spanish artist used this opportunity to leave his mark around the South Korean capital. We just received these photos of new works by Pejac created few days ago in Hong Kong. The artist who is known for his witty concepts recently spent a few days in a former British colony leaving several diverse works throughout the city. Tackling the problems of overpopulation and limited rights, the “Umbrella Revolution” as well as Chinese tradition, most of the works were very small in scale but large in their message.
