This week’s summary of public art from around the world comes a little early as we are still trying to catch up after Basel Week Miami. We lead off this week’s review of street art with a new mural from Roa in Puerto Rico. Painted for the Los Muros Hablan Festival, the Belgium-based muralist rendered a giant Iguana (an invasive pest there, chewing up plants and crops and burrowing under roads and dikes) holding a Coquí, a small frog endemic to the island. Utilizing a mixture of paint and newspapers, Hérard is able to create a whimsical piece for the streets of Paris.
