On the 29th of May, Montana Gallery Barcelona opened a two men show featuring works by Argentinian artists Elian and Pastel. Though significantly different in their use of visual language, the two artist put up a coherent and well balanced show juxtapozing their works and creating a collaborative mural inside gallery space. Showing through this Saturday at Joshua Liner Gallery in New York is Erin M. Riley’s (interviewed) solo show entitled Darkness Lies Ahead. The exhibition gives fans a good look at some of the different series of works she has woven so far in her career including the Selfies featuring portraiture sourced from young women on the internet as well as from her own self-portraits and The History Pieces, works that document car crashes, skid marks, and the residue of trauma. Berlin-based artist James Reka is currently in Milan, adding the final touches to his upcoming solo show opening at Avantgarden Gallery on June 4th. Towards the end of 2013, D*Face (interviewed) and Shepard Fairey (featured) joined forces to paint two large murals (covered) on the side of a building in Malaga, Spain. Earlier this month, RISK head out to Columbus, Ohio for the Rock On The Range festival, a project he collaborated on with Danny Wimmer Presents. With the goal to create the world’s largest interactive mural, he has so far attended two events (out of a planned ten) and has had the participation of over 15,000 people (with a goal of 100,000 people & a 10,000 sq. foot mural).
