Previews: Dave Kinsey & Jaybo Monk – “Van Gogh Ate My Dog” @ Kallenbach Gallery

Tomorrow night (August 29th) in Amsterdam, Kallenbach Gallery will be opening a duo show from Dave Kinsey (featured) & Jaybo Monk. Entitled Van Gogh Ate My Dog, the new body of work from the two takes inspiration from the life and work of the Dutch Master with the American artist Kinsey contributing his distinctive still life paintings alluding to Van Gogh’s distinctive subject matter while the Berlin-based Jaybo wasn’t shy with his ear references including a an interesting sculptural piece. On 21st of January, Vroom and Varossieau in Amsterdam opened a solo exhibition by Belgium street artist and urban interventionist Jaune. I Wish You Could See This For Real includes a series of new stencil-based pieces along with site specific installation that the artist created in the gallery. Coinciding with the Amsterdam Art Weekend, Grimm Gallery opened Dustin Yellin’s show 10Parts on November 25th. With a twenty-foot long modular glass landscape across ten panels as the showpiece, this is the American artist’s first solo exhibition with the gallery and will stay on view through the 7th of January.
