A review of recent public works for our Streets World Roundup sees this new mural (seen above) from Shok-1 as one of the standouts. Entitled The Consumer, the new piece makes a clever modification in the Pac-Man imagery that we are used to and again highlights the sublime translucent x-ray spraycan technique from the London-based artist. The time had come for another Streets World Roundup here on AM. Leading things off is a complex new work of art from Felice Varini in Hasselt, Belgium for the “De Unie Hasselt-Genk” exhibition. The spiral-like piece which plays with perspective was painted on the roofs and facades of 99 buildings and can only be properly seen from one vantage point. Take a look at more here. LUDO (interviewed) spent the last weekend putting up new series of pasteups around his hometown of Paris, titled Love and Riot. The work is strongly motivated by the current situation in France and some other parts of Europe where he feels extremist far right politicians and parties are gaining more and more popularity.
