AM stopped by the Carmichael Gallery to check out the progress of Israeli street artist Know Hope’s first Los Angeles solo debut “the times won’t save you (this rain smells of memory)” (teased) opening tomorrow, Thursday, June 4th. Shepard Fairey x Arkitip – Launch Party & Installation @ ALIFE (Hollywood)

As we previously reported, Arkitip is putting out a special collaboration issue with Shepard Fairey and the release is right around the corner. To celebrate the launch of Issue 51 and all it’s Obey goodies, ALIFE is transforming their Hollywood retail location into a mini-gallery to host the release with Mr. Fairey. Openings: “Quiet Storm” @ G1988 LA

“Quiet Storm” opened this past Tuesday in Los Angeles at Gallery 1988. The four person show features new work from Krista Huot (Interviewed), Scott Campbell, ghost patrol and Roland Tamayo. Openings: Nick Walker – “A Sequence of Events” @ Black Rat Press

AM was on hand for the opening of Nick Walker’s (interviewed) “A Sequence of Events” show and book launch at Black Rat Press. There was a great turnout to see the original images from the book, which was a retrospective of the past ten years of Nick’s and also included some new imagery. Nick was on hand to sign copies of the book for fans, many of whom had waited much of the day to score the two now sold-out prints released at the opening. […]

Preview: “Dark Night Of The Soul” @ Michael Kohn Gallery

Michael Kohn Gallery is putting a nice spin on the typical show, presenting patrons with a fully immersive visual and auditory experience with “Dark Night of the Soul,” a collaboration between filmmaker and multidisciplinary talent David Lynch and musical artists Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse, a.k.a. Mark Linkous.
