This year’s Moniker Art Fair will include a solo entitled Aqua Regalia by Faith47, set to open on the 9th of October. Using different mediums, including graphite, spray paint, oil paint, ink, photography and collage, she usually paints on found objects or discarded documents, transferring the feel of her mural works. On the 27th of September, Jaski Gallery in Amsterdam introduced a new solo from Tessar Lo to their collectors and local art lovers. Devices And The Virtues is Lo’s third show with the gallery and it once again proved the strong connection and love between the artist and the city. After a successful solo show in NYC recently (covered), and stopping in Portland for a mural project (covered), DALeast made a huge d-tour on his way home to Capetown by stopping in Dunedin, New Zealand. That same coastal town that hosted Phlegm (covered) there a couple of months ago also invited the Chinese-born artist to leave his mark there through the Dunedin Mural Project. Streets: Living Walls (London)

Moniker Projects and Create teamed up a couple of months ago for Living Walls, a public arts programme for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. The main idea behind this complex project was to create and cover aprox 2.5 km of the fence around the park with world class street art and installations. On the 4th of September, Die Kunstagentin gallery introduced Maya Hayuk’s latest body of work titled Alles Klar, as well as a large mural at their entrance. The new works further explore her signature technique of woven brush strokes. With her straight, strict lines of thick paint, the NYC-based artist creates trippy colorful patterns which seem to be getting more elaborate. On the 12th of September, Aisho Nanzuka gallery opened Todd Jame’s first solo show in Hong Kong. DALeast (interviewed) recently opened his solo The Laten Photon at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York. Taking a step back from creating murals around the world, the Chinese artist spent last year focused more on his studio work, which is clearly noticeable from the pieces presented. The idea of this ongoing project is to bring life and fresh energy to the streets and the daily life of the city. The Swedish city of Boras recently hosted a street art event between the 4th and 7th of September. Inviting some recognizable names from the street art world, the organizers of the No Limit Boras Festival were aiming to turn the city’s public space into an outdoor exhibition. On 6th of September, the Artplay Design Center in Moscow was the host to the opening of the Artmossphere Street Art Biennale. This is the first event like this in Russia, and it brings together over 30 artists from all over the world and over 40 Russian artists (like Kislow – seen above).
